This course is an introductory study of Biblical Greek focusing on vocabulary, grammar and syntax. The course is for preparing students to read the New Testament in its original language. It will consist of learning the grammatical and lexical information contained in the textbook, as well as ongoing translation of various New Testament passages contained in the workbook.
This survey course introduces students to the foundations and development of Christian thought, while providing an awareness of important Christian thinkers and historical Christian doctrine, as well as the foundations of theological reasoning and application to modern culture.
This course introduces students to various advanced areas of writing. Some of the topic areas to be covered include critical summary and response, which includes responding to both positive and negative aspects of the subject matter from a Christian perspective; literature reviews, which involve synthesizing, analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating data; and the writing of advanced research papers. This course will also focus on the skill of self-editing, so that students can identify and correct their own usage and organization errors, working toward fluid, seamless papers.
This survey course introduces students to influential writers in Western Christianity by reviewing and reflecting on excerpts from seminal works; this course provides a basic understanding of the significant importance of literature in developing our contemporary understanding of Christology and evangelical efforts of the Church.
Dave Hummel, Creative Director and Composer/Producer, has been on team at Wave Church since 2007. He has over 30 years experience in the music production world, writing music for television and video games, as well as working as a writer/producer for Sony/ATV in Los Angeles, and audio engineering for major labels. At Wave Church, Professor Hummel oversees Live Production, Video Production, and Marketing as well as the Worship and Creative Arts Department. At Wave Leadership College, he oversees the Media & Arts electives.
