WLC Collection Policy

If a student is unable to pay all tuition and fees in full by the first day of class, the student must make suitable arrangements for payments throughout the semester. If suitable arrangements are not made, students will be dropped from classes by the end of the first week. All students, without exception, are required to pay in full for all semesters they attend WLC.

In the event a student is unable to pay or is late making a payment, he or she will be subject to a monthly late payment fee, placed on financial hold, and given notice that they have 30 days to make payment or they will be administratively withdrawn from their classes. Any outstanding payments due to WLC at the time of the student’s withdrawal will be paid in a reasonable manner. Any student seeking reinstatement will need to satisfy all outstanding payments before they can be reinstated.

WLC Refund Policy

Students desiring to withdraw from the program must complete the withdrawal procedures as described in this catalog. After the withdrawal notification has been processed, the student may contact the Business Office to request a refund of any remaining credit balance.

Withdrawing students receiving federal financial aid may be required to return all or part of Title IV funds pursuant to the policies contained in the Federal Financial Aid Policies and Procedures Manual found in the Financial Aid Office. Any student receiving other forms of financial aid should consult the business office for policies particular to their aid.

Withdrawing student receiving VA Education Benefits or Tuition Assistance may be required to return all or part of funding pursuant to applicable federal requirements. Students receiving any form of military aid are encouraged to speak to the VA Certifying Official once registration changes have been made.

Fees will be refunded according to the following schedule:

  • End of Week 1: Last day to add a class / last day to drop a class with 100% refund
  • End of Week 2: Last day to drop with a 50% refund
  • End of Week 8: Last day to withdraw from a class without grade penalty – no refund available
